Mouse Chess Set

This listing is for a brand new Oriental mouse chess set which is even cuter than the pictures suggest. This is a good sized set with the King being just under 4.5 inches and the whole set weighing in at approx 1.5KG and the set is stained with a special process, known only to me, to bring out all that lovely detail.

Queen Me:

This set for comes with two extra queens for those of you who are lucky enough to get a pawn all the way down to the other end of the board and don't want to scrabble around looking for something to use as an extra queen.

Construction:

Each set is hand cast in a hard and durable natural mineral giving a lovely carved stone like feel, painted, stained and lacquered to give a durable high quality result yet still retaining a certain ceramic/porcelain quality and antique finish.

Colors available:

Unless you specify otherwise the colors for these pieces are Deep Walnut for the dark and Aged Sandstone for the light. If you would prefer Jet Black, Antique Red, Antique Stone or Smoky Green instead of the red, or the Sandstone, then just let me know and I'll be more than happy to oblige.... In fact, you can mix and match any of these colors if you like. If you'd like any colors that aren't listed here then let me know before you purchase and I'm sure I'd be able to accommodate you.

The king is 4.25 inches in height and the set, unpacked, weighs approx 1.5KG and would suit a board with squares 1.5 inches or more.

Vinyl Chess Mat:

This set also comes with an optional vinyl chess mat/board so you can start playing as soon as you receive it. This is a black and white mat with 2 inch squares and is tough, durable and wipe clean.

Packaging:

Each piece is individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then the whole set. This is then packed in a sturdy cardboard box into which is packed polystyrene peanuts for extra padding.

Sets are usually dispatched within a couple of working days, unless you specify an unusual color in which case you might, but not always, have to wait an extra day. Also, it is worth noting that customers quite often receive their sets before the estimated delivery date.

NOTE:

And don't forget, you can create your own bespoke set put together using any of the pieces from any of the sets in my shop in any colors you like. A real mix and match. So, for example, if you would like an Isle of Lewis set but prefer the King from a different set and/or the pawns from another set then that's no problem. As long as I currently make the pieces you can create whatever set you like. Simply request a custom order with your requirements and I'll do my best to accommodate. ☺
