About The Set:

This listing is for a brand new Egyptian / Mesopotamian style collectible chess set, hand crafted by yours truly and would make an ideal and unusual gift . Each piece is carefully crafted from super hard casting materials giving a durable high quality result yet still retaining an antique carved stone finish.

Colors available:

Unless you specify otherwise the colors for this set are Moroccan red for the dark and antique stone for the white. If you would prefer black instead of the red, or the white, then just let me know and I'll be more than happy to oblige....

Also available is deep walnut, in fact, you can mix and match any of these colors if you like. If you'd like any colors that aren't listed here then let me know before your purchase and I'm sure I'd be able to accommodate you.

The king is just over 4.5 inches in height making it a good sized set and would suit a standard tournament board (not included I'm afraid) with squares about two inches or more.

Vinyl Chess Mat:

This set also comes with an optional vinyl chess mat/board so you can start playing as soon as you receive it. This is a black and white mat with 2 inch squares and is tough, durable and wipe clean.

Packaging:

Each piece is individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then the whole set. This is then packed in a sturdy cardboard box into which is packed polystyrene peanuts for extra padding. Sets are usually dispatched the next working day, unless you specify an unusual color in which case you might, but not always, have to wait an extra day.
