This listing is for a brand new Isle of Lewis chess set based upon the originals found on the Isle of Lewis fused with the famous 12th century German medieval set and sporting Lewis Berserker Pawns for both sides.
Queen Me:
This set for comes with two extra queens for those of you who are lucky enough to get a pawn all the way down to the other end of the board and don't want to scrabble around looking for something to use as an extra queen.
Construction:
Each set is hand cast, painted, stained and lacquered to give a durable high quality result yet still retaining a certain ceramic and antique finish. They also all have hand cut soft felt bottoms, lucky things!
Colors available:
Unless you specify otherwise the colors for these pieces are Smoky Green for the Medieval side and Antique Red for the Lewis. If you would prefer any other colors, then just let me know and I'll be more than happy to oblige....

The Lewis king is 3.25 inches in height and the Medieval King is 4.25 inches and the set, unpacked, weighs approx 1.8KG and would suit a board, not included, with squares 1.8 inches or more.
Vinyl Chess Mat:
This set also comes with an optional vinyl chess mat/board so you can start playing as soon as you receive it. This is a black and white mat with 2 inch squares and is tough, durable and wipe clean.
Packaging:
Each piece is individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then the whole set. This is then packed in a sturdy cardboard box into which is packed polystyrene peanuts for extra padding.
Sets are usually dispatched within a couple of working days or so, unless you specify an unusual color in which case you might, but not always, have to wait an extra day.
Estimated delivery within 4-6 weeks. -
