War of Independence Chess Set - Reds vs Blue

About The Set:

This listing is for a brand new, hand crafted, American War of Independence chess set with opposing sides, Americans vs The British!

The kings are both an impressive 5 inches in height and the set, unpacked, weighs approx. 2.1KG and would suit a board, not included, with squares about 2 inches or more.

Queen Me:

Unlike any other set available here, this set for comes with two extra queens for those of you who are lucky enough to get a pawn all the way down to the other end of the board and don't want to scrabble around looking for something to use as an extra queen.

Construction:

Each set is hand cast, painted, stained and lacquered to give a durable high quality result yet still retaining a certain ceramic and antique finish.

Colors available:

Unless you specify otherwise the colors for these pieces are Antique Red for the Brits and Aged Blue for the Colonists.

If you would prefer Jet Black, Deep Walnut, Antique Stone or Aged Sandstone instead of the red, or the blue, then just let me know and I'll be more than happy to oblige.... In fact, you can mix and match any of these colors if you like. If you'd like any colors that aren't listed here then let me know before you purchase and I'm sure I'd be able to accommodate you.

Packaging:

Each piece is individually wrapped in bubble wrap and then the whole set. This is then packed in a sturdy cardboard box into which is packed polystyrene peanuts for extra padding.

Sets are usually dispatched within a couple of working days or so, unless you specify an unusual color in which case you might, but not always, have to wait an extra day.

NOTE:

And don't forget, you can create your own bespoke set put together using any of the pieces from any of the sets in my shop in any colors you like. A real mix and match. So, for example, if you would like an Isle of Lewis set but prefer the King from a different set and/or the pawns from another set then that's no problem. As long as I currently make the pieces you can create whatever set you like. Simply request a custom order with your requirements and I'll do my best to accommodate. ☺
